UPenn

Hello everybody, College admission has really stressed me up and until recently, UPenn has become my dream school. Really really would like to go to that university and I was wondering if I even had a chance... Is applying to SEAS more difficult than the college itself? With these stats, can I also apply to other IVY Leagues, or Standford?

rank is outstanding, however, even with a 750M 650V SAT is not enough for penn. btw there is NO sat2 for european history, u might wanna do ur research first. ECs are decent, nothing spectacular. penn SEAS will be a long reach.

thank you...what does long reach mean?

Picture this:

You are a standard poodle. Many people like standard poodles, it's the miniature ones with ribbons in their hair that everyone hates. Anyways, you are riding a rollercoaster, and sitting next to you is a Great Dane. Whether his name is Brutus, like in The Ugly Dachshund, or not, is of no consequence. Anyways, in the middle of a loop on the rollercoaster, one of your paws is severed by a flying reptilious creature once thought to be extinct. When the ride ends, you reach for your seatbelt latch, but you cannot because of your severed paw. The Great Dane could help you out, but he is a legacy at Harvard, so he just smokes his cigar and goes on his way. That is what a long reach means.

I ate a standard poodle as part as my college-acceptance ritual...long reach indeed.

so basically i just realized that without your paw, you'll be stuck on the rollercoaster forever, while Brutus smokes his cigar right into Harvard...dude...good luck with that...

Man Won Tym Eye Tuk Muh Peesats End Did Gud

i think you definitely have a chance at penn. it might not be a definite in but its worth applying. my friend only has a 3.6 out of a 4.0 but she had an awesome interview-- my friend's first language was sign language bc both her parents are deaf, and her interviewer found this & her self confidence amazing. if you're actually fluent in all those languages, that could probably give ur application some additional weight. good luck, i think ull get in

I second the above post. Good Luck :)

You can't become valedictorian just by looking at the current valedictorian. People hate when others stare. You have to work as hard as possible man dont' think for one minute you're guaranteed into UPENN> become the valedictorian, dont just look at him/her.

Thanks for all of your observations... I have indeed followed what you guys have told me... Never gave up. Im being perseverant and I am fully confident I have a shot at UPenn. Ill have an interview that will impress everyone, I really speak all those languages and im very culturally diverse. Anyhow, I really take advantage of every second I have to improve my grades and enver slack off...Ill continue to work hard and really keep my shot at UPenn high. Thanks again :)

anybody with more commentzzzzy?

Boooooooooooooo*

you have decent stats, but it will be tough since you are international, unless you don't ask for financial aid.

but the diversity factor definitely works in your favor. penn hearts diversity. :)

yup international status might be on my side seeing as I dont need financial aid :) Now, its realy tough because only 1% is from the Caribbean but I think I easily outcompete anyone in this country ;)...that doesnt stop me from getting better but its just a self confidence I carry :D

Bump Bump Bump
