UPitt Merit Scholarships - Am I too late???

I sent in my ACT score just today (11/28), and it is much better than my SAT score that Pitt has from me. I applied on Sept. 8th and was accepted in about 2-3 weeks. I know a lot of people who’ve already received scholarship notifications for their academic achievements. It’ll take 1-2 weeks for Pitt to get my ACT score. I think that if they have it, it could increase my chances of merit aid. Do you think it’s too late though? Does Pitt have only a limited amount of money it can distribute to top students? My SAT and grades meet the cut off, but, like I said, my ACT is a lot better.

You could let them know that you sent a new score. Did you indicate on your application that you were retaking it?

Merit award notification just started in November, and will go through March.

So hopefully you will hear something in the next few months.

@mommdc I think I did indicate it on my app. Would they wait before deciding whether to give me a scholarship?

I think if you put it on there they might wait.
But you could also call and let them know to expect your new score if you are concerned.

@mommdc alright I just emailed them a minute ago. Thank you! I appreciate the advice!
