Hey guys, I want to apply to the university of Pittsburgh and I got a priority application from them which basically means I get a decision within 3 weeks. I want to apply as soon as possible and hopefully get accepted but the problem is that my Sat score is only a 2050 and I signed up again to take it in October. Should I apply now with a 2050 or wait until after I take the October Sat? Also I want to apply to the honors college. Can I submit my October Sat score after I get it to use for the honors college application?

You should probably call UPitt and ask them the procedures – say you’d like to apply now but would be highly interested in the Honor pgm and will be submitting a later SAT score. Let them guide you.

Apply now

What was your SAT math and reading score? What major are you interested in?

I’m confused, in another thread you posted that you had taken the SAT twice already with a high score of 2270, and the ACT score of 33.

The SAT score is high enough and you do realize that Pitt wants you to send all the scores, right?

There is a field in the app that asks if you plan to take the SAT/ACT at a future date. Put in the month you willtake it and they will know to expect a future score.

But will it look badly if he took the SAT three times and the ACT also?

Pitt “mega” scores so I doubt if they care. They take the highest scores across SAT & ACT. But OP should ask on the Pitt forum - there’s a Pitt adcom who drops in there.
