Hey guys, I want to apply to the university of Pittsburgh and I got a priority application from them which basically means I get a decision within 3 weeks. I want to apply as soon as possible and hopefully get accepted but the problem is that my Sat score is only a 2050 and I signed up again to take it in October. Should I apply now with a 2050 or wait until after I take the October Sat? Also I want to apply to the honors college. Can I submit my October Sat score after I get it to use for the honors college application?

buuuuuump

you need at 1450/1600+ SAT math and reading for honors college…i think

UHC Eligibility requires a 1400+ SAT (M+CR) or 32+ ACT plus top 5% of graduating class (which they are a bit more lenient about)

I can confirm that the 1400+ SAT requirement is somewhat subjective as well. A score in the high 1300’s plus top 5% along with strong essays & teacher recommendations can also get a student into the UHC.

And it hardly even matters if you do come into Pitt as UHC eligibe. If you want to take UHC classes and you are not automatically in the UHC as a first term freshman you simply need to ask the professor for permission. If you would like to live in UHC housing, again just ask for permission to apply. The auto-admit just saves you one step in the process.

Really? Cool, I’ll probably do that then.
