Upper Division Math Classes

What order do you think I should take my upper div math courses? I want to finish these courses in 3 semesters.

Mathematics 104 Introduction to Analysis
Mathematics 110 Linear Algebra
Mathematics 113 Introduction to Abstract Algebra
Mathematics 128A Numerical Analysis
Mathematics 185 Introduction to Complex Analysis

You need to take Math 104 before Math 185 and usually people will recommend that Math 110 be the first upper division math class you take. With that in mind, you could take them in any order. My suggestion would be:

Semester 1
Math 110
Math 128A

Semester 2
Math 104
Math 113

Semester 3
Math 185

But that’s not a firm suggestion. As long as you can get good professors and follow prerequisites, you should be fine.

I highly second that suggestion of:

110/128A, 104/113, 185

The only real prereq is 104 for 185. Also, it’d greatly help if you take 110 before 113. 104 requires a little more mathematical maturity than 110. 128A is kind of its own thing.

Agreed with the previous two posts. I noticed many people find Math 185 as a cake if they manage to survive Math 104, so I suppose you could take 128A along with 185. Math 110 (or any upper division math class) is a huge jump from Math 54 or any other lower division math class.
