Upper Division Transfer -- Less than 60 total units?

Hello CC,

I've been around for a long time but never bothered to make an ID until today.

I wanted to ask about upper division transfers with less than 60 units.

The reason I ask is because I've completed the CSU Breadth requirements, and my lower division work for my major, with only 48 units.

Thanks!

1) 48 units at the end of Spring 2015, or as of now?
2) Did you verify this with your Community College Transfer center? Did you take credit for pre-college (such as AP credit, etc.)?

CSU wants you to transfer in Junior Status. Junior status is defined as 60 - 90 units.

48 units at the end of Spring 2015.

I have not verified with my transfer center, I didn’t even know we had one. However, I don’t see why any of them wouldn’t transfer, they’re all part of breadth or my major core requirements. I have not taken pre-college credits.

Thank you for the reply, I’m curious to know if this is something I need to look into.

It is definitely outside the box and warrants making an appointment with your transfer center counselor. It strains credulity, frankly, that one could finish all breadth and lower division pre-reqs in a dozen courses.

Sorry, both systems are now sticklers for Jr transfers only. Many campuses accept Spring transfers. December of 15 is probably your first shot at making the move.

Okay, I see.

Thank you both for the replies, I think I will still check with my transfer center, just to be sure.

It definitely sounds unlikely though, which is a bummer.
