Hello everybody, i plan on transferring to UCD by next fall and I was wondering how you can tell which classes are upper division and which ones are lower. I looked on assist for my major for UC Davis and it doesn’t really tell you specifically which ones belong to what.
Ex: BIOL 230, Cell Biology
MATH 270: Linear Algebra
Organic Chem
Physics w/ Calc
Are they all from a community college?
They all seem lower div. Upper division are classes you would normally take during your junior and senior years at a 4-year university
@CCtransfer24 anything on assist which is articulated at a community college is lower division, for example OChem and the main calc-based Physics sequence are lower div classes.
If you are ever uncertain, simply check the catalog for UCD (or whichever school you’re curious about) and it’ll clearly list them.
