Upper middle class and in need of finaid?

That's easy enough to check, thumper. I just did -- I don't know whether a Georgetown student can opt out of the meal plan entirely, but the cheapest plan is called "Block 45" and is $530 a semester; the most expensive plans are 1,930.00 -- so right there she could save $1200 a semester by going for the cheapest plan.

there aren't really any grocery stores in gtown from what I've seen.

Actually, I was in a grocery store in Gtown once, but it was quite expensive. Not exactly a supermarket. But my son's college was located in an area where it was not convenient to shop, and he managed. I used to ship him off a box filled with ramen and packaged meals about once a month as well -- and you can actually order that stuff online if it's too hard to shop.

no no i do have a summer job, and i'm making three thousand in a summer. i would def. do the cheapest plan, i'll let my mother know that, it will probably help.... and yeah, i would have to find really creative ways to eat. like joining a lot of clubs with free food, which i should probably do anyway. thanks for the research, calmom.
