Upperclass Honors Housing

Does anyone have any knowledge of where most of the freshman honors students choose to live for their sophomore year? My son is a freshman and seems to be very excited about North Campus, not honors housing. His dad and I would prefer he continue in honors housing. Any pros or cons you'd like to share?

My son is a sophomore and lives in Christiana Towers. He is an Honors student and lived in Russell last year. Although he loved living in Russell and being with all Honors kids last year, he felt that he didn’t want to do that after freshman year. He is happy living in the Towers this year. He shares an apartment with 3 other guys(not honors students) and enjoys it. He has even become quite a good cook!! For the most part I think he feels more comfortable being with Honors kids, but he gets that in his classes.

My D and her group of friends lived in Brown or the other similar hall across the green and loved it.

My DS is on the north green in Sharp honors housing, after last year in Russell. I don’t know if there really is any difference between honors and non-honors since there are several floors of each.

For him, it is very convenient to the business classrooms, but not very close to the dining halls. It is right by Main Street and Trabant. I can’t picture him in an apartment and having to cook! His last year’s roommate chose to go to north campus, but he has a wonderful roommate this year with very nice parents.

Daughter and a good friend went from Russell B to Brown this year. They wanted a bigger room and the convenience of living on the North Green. Her dorm is close to all of her classes and jobs so she’s happy.

No cons that I can think of. Pros are the location and the quiet atmosphere which is conducive to studying.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!
