stupid question, i guess, but i'm wondering about housing for next year. do i need to know every person that i want to have a room with, or can you just be matched, like for freshman year?

you can just be matched or you can request to live with roommates. They basically give you a sheet that asks what kind of housing you want/price range/roommates/location and they have you rank how important each of those are to you. They do all the dirty work.

(As an honors student,) how difficult will it be for me to get into West Village F my sophomore year? I already have sophomore standing, so I guess I’ll have middler/junior standing at the end of this year.

Very Easy. WVF isn’t even full right now. I missed the deadline to get into F, I called the housing guy and he put me into the specific room in F I wanted.

^haha wow, guess I’ll stop worrying! Thanks!

Is there a difference between F and the other west villages?

You’re in West F? haha, so am I. Weird…

Anyway, WVF is the newest of the West Villages and it has some kind of spiffy rooms. I’m in a duplex, so there are stairs inside of my actual suite. The 7th floor has these MASSIVE rooms that everyone calls the penthouses (but there are only two suites up there, so they can be a little lonely, and they are right next door to the RD’s room so you gotta be quiet).

Most honors students don’t want to live in honors housing because there is a non-honors student that they want to live with.
