<p>This definitely sounds like a great idea to me. I just feel bad for freshman who are still supposed to check in tomorrow.</p>
<p>NYU originally said that both freshmen and upperclassemen could move in any time after Sunday, 8/28th. They then changed it to Monday and now are saying Wednesday or later. We moved our daughter into her sophomore dorm at Palladium on Monday and no one gave her a hard time about it. My husband spoke to someone at the housing office and she told him that students will not be turned away, no matter when they show up to move in. In fact, move in was easier than we expected, since a police officer was stationed right outside Palladium on 14th street and they had an area sectioned off so people could pull their cars up to the sidewalk to unload their cars. I hope they continue to do this througout the week to make everyone’s move-in day as easy as possible.</p>
