Upperclassmen Engineers - Career Fair Advice?

Since the first career fair of the year is coming up, I was wondering if any upperclassmen have any advice to give.

Anything special that I should look out for, etc?

plan your route before you get there.

There’s a list of companies that are coming up on the career fair website. This list also includes a lot of details about what each company is looking for. You should take note of the companies you’re most interested in talking to and make some sort of schedule for yourself for the fair. Of course it’s OK to deviate from this during the actual fair, but it helps to have done at least a tiny bit of investigation into the main companies you’re interested in.

Then, at the actual career fair, be ready to talk about yourself, what you’re studying and the like, and what type of opportunities you’re interested in. Just keep in mind most of these companies are currently looking for full time employees rather than interns, but many of them will still talk to you about internship positions (and possibly even interview…)

Plan ahead and make a fine updated resume. Then put on your jolly face, be confident, be interested, and show the companies that you are responsible enough to take the position beyond what is required.

I wonder how similar applicants appear, and what you have to do to make yourself stand out.

Trying to get that post count up pancakes?

You know why I did it, as does anyone with half a brain that checked the forums this evening.
