Upward Trend Weight?

So I started taking high school classes in middle school (one math and language each year), and had a 3.4 average for both years. My GPAs for 9-11th grade went as followed: 3.86, 4.06, 4.5 which adds up to a 4.02. This year I have all As again and am on track for a 4.42 (3 DE classes with no bump).

Anyways, I am applying to UVA which has an average GPA of like 4.22, and they keep saying that GPA is the most important factor they consider. I am really worried because my GPA is much lower than that, obviously. How much of a factor would this play? and is there any way that my grades could be taken over someone who received a 4.2 all four years?

note: I have a few good ECs like eagle scout and I scored 200 points higher than the average on SAT.

I think your SAT balances out the small deficiency in your GPA. SAT scores help colleges evaluate applicants equally, whereas GPA may depend on the applicant’s high school and the rigor of it.
