Upward Trend

Hey, so I'm a rising senior who feels uncertain going into college apps next year. My freshman and sophomore year have really made my cumulative GPA suck, but my grades have improved a ton. My freshman and sophomore year my GPA was a 2.5 my junior year it was a 3.7. I go to a private prep school that is highly competitive, due to my grades the first two years I couldn't take the AP's i wanted to take this year. However next year I'm registered to take AP Psych, AP Bio, AP Art Hist., AP Lit, Pre-Calc(I'm not a math guy really) Ethics, and an Independent Study in Middle Egyptian Language; note that next year I will make mostly make straight A's, with maybe one B. My test scores are horrific so I'm doing a lot of test optional colleges. Also I'm going to Summer@Brown this summer to take intro to macroeconomics, and a kind of applied econ course. Hopefully all of this will show and upward trend and I'm hoping this will help me out with college admissions.
To give you a feel here's my list of schools I plan on applying to:
American University
American University in Paris
Bates College(Reach)
Dickinson College
Franklin & Marshall College
Sewanee, University of The South
Wake Forest University(This is a reach I know, but then again all of these probably are for me at least)
High Point University is my fall back as well as Hampden-Sydney College

What is your question?

What do you think my chances at these colleges are? By the way the awful first two years are due to my father walking out of my life, there were some emotional ramifications. I just want to know if I am still competitive for admissions at any of these places.

Sorry I didn’t make it very clear, my bad.
