Upward Trend?

So let me provide some backround before I ask my question:
My freshman year, my GPA was a 3.33
Sophomore, it was a 3.82
junior year, its a 4.1
overall: 3.71 weighted, 3.65 unweighted
While sophmore and junior year are great, freshman is mediocre at best. It really bothers me to think I cant get into certian schools, all because of my freshman year. Heres a list of my top 5. Do you think they will look at the upward trend? (My SAT score is a 2030, my ACT score is a 31.)
1. NYU
2. University of Michigan
3. Northwestern University
4.University of Richmond
5. Georgetown University

I was in a similar situation. I hope this information helps. An upward trend is notable, and this is how mine fared as similar schools.
Freshman: 3.33
Sophomore: 3.67
Junior: 3.95
Senior: 4.81 S1
ED/EA GPA Seen: 3.7ish
RD GPA Seen: 3.78
ACT: 33, 34 Superscored
SAT2: Math 750, Chemistry 710

Top 50 US News Schools Applied To:
Stanford: Rejected (Legacy, worth the lottery chance in my opinion, no surprise or expectations)
Northeastern: Accepted EA, 10k scholarship, attending
NYU: Waitlisted RD, Declined Spot
U of Rochester: Accepted Priority Review

Based off of that experience, I think it will be very close (low reach) at NYU / U of Michigan, a match at U of Richmond, and high reaches at Northwestern / Georgetown. You have a fighting chance at the first three, but I would not expect anything from the latter two.

Best of luck! The upward trend will give some consideration, but not an incredibly significant amount.

Okay, thanks a lot!
