Upward trends?

<p>Guys I'm so scared that I won't get in anywhere.. and I mean ANYWHERE.. I'm losing sleep over this.. seriously it seems like I have a REALLY small chance of getting in anywhere at this point. (I live in St. Louis, Missouri)</p>

-- AP Chemistry (C semester), AP Biology (A semester), AP Literature (B semester), Precalculus (A semester), C++ (C semester), Spanish III (A semester)
-- Self studying AP Calculus, AP Physics
-- Will be on Varsity Tennis in spring
-- 4.00 GPA – Will be first semester
o Cumulative – 3.18 GPA Without senior grades
o Rank - 228/505 when I apply, most likely 200/505 after first semester
o SAT – 1840 (Retook as a standby, probably got 1900-2000)
o ACT – 26
o Good recommendations
o Good essays where applicable
o Intended major(s) – Chemical engineering, Business administration
o Schools that I applied to:

<p>Have I applied too late? are any of these GUARANTEED safeties? I'm from India and if I don't get into any of these then my parents will most definitely hate me and kick me out of the house once I'm 18. PLEASE help me I'm begging you.. I've completed my applications yesterday and am sending them in tomorrow.</p>

<p>If there is some extra info essay you can write, then write about how you realized how important education is and improved your grades through high school and explain this upward trend. And for an in-state school, they will usually take people with low GPA's close to 3 (or atleast they do in my state).</p>
