Upward Trends?

I'm a grade 10 student going into grade 11. I was just wondering how colleges feel about an upward trend of marks?

Grade 9: 86% average
Grade 10: 90% average
Grade 11: Hopefully 94% average at least

I'm going to work extremely hard this year to get bring up my average. In grade 9, I did almost no work at all; this year I put in some effort, and I guess it showed a bit. I'm also taking the most difficult courses available. So I assume colleges look at this trend as a positive?

Thanks

Actually, colleges like to see you trying very hard in 9th grade, then a C average in 10th, followed by failing all of junior year.

But seriously, of course they like to an upward trend, its common sense

Ah, sorry for sounding dumb, haha. So will they somewhat overlook my mediocre grades in grade 9 and 10 (more so gr.9) because of the upward trend?
