<p>Share an experience through which you have gained respect for intellectual, social, or cultural differences. Comment on how your personal experiences and achievements would contribute to the diversity of the University of Mich.</p>

<p>As an international, i was gonna write how us's education system and society
offers better opportunity than my country's system does, and seeing others who are not academically oriented ( striving for their interests and dreams )
was new to me (since my country thinks success=good college)
and how gain respect for everyones TA*sdgYA7128 blah blah</p>

<p>The question is asking how your experience/achievement would add to UM.</p>

<p>Your suggested answer brings up an interesting difference between two cultures, but seems off-topic in that it doesn't have much to do with how you would contribute to UM. It works for the first part of the question, but make sure you can bring it back to how that experience will lead you to enhance diversity there.</p>
