UR to RIT

Hello all,

I am a freshman at UR aiming to major in Computer Science (with a focus in robotics). I've been doing computer science related things my entire life, and enjoy it, so I don't think I will be planning on changing that anytime soon. However, as a computer nerd in a school full of pre-meds I am not really fitting in or getting along with many people and am looking maybe to transfer to RIT. I was accepted there last year and the two year acceptance offer still stands- I would be paying less tuition and I have more friends there than I do at UR.

I guess, in short, my question is: Do you think that RIT is better for computer science than the University of Rochester? Even if it's not, is college only about academics, and not about learning social skills or how to interact with other people?

Thanks!

It'll be a piece of cake getting accepted to RIT, if you decide to apply there. I do think that RIT is more focused on getting you into a career and is heavily computer based. I would say that RIT is a bit better.
