I'm in the process of the deciding where to go. It's between U of R and SUNY Buffalo. The financial aid looks pretty much the same (I'd have to pay approximately 10K per year in either case). UB accepted me into their Honors program, but U of R is private and, from what I heard, has higher standards of education. Where should I go?

P.S. I'm planning to study computer engineering...

Definitely URochester.

Academics: Rochester
Campus: Rochester
Surrounding Area: Toss Up

IMHO of course ;)

Congratulations, Ryan-91.

U of R for sure. It is terrific school with strong academics.
The Comp Sci department in particular is very good. They have
a flexible curriculum that you can tailor to your needs. It has
a pretty campus and as far as towns go, Rochester has a
lot more going for it than Buffalo. Rochester has Kodak, Xerox,
Bausch & Lomb.
