<p>One small clarification is in order. I have not seen anywhere that U of C does not care about grades. Libby stated they were interested in how well one has done in a challenging curriculum. One must separate GPA from grades in the sense that the grades are evaluated in the context of difficulty of the courses attempted. This simply implies that a 3.9 GPA earned taking relatively easy courses may not be given a higher value than a 3.5 earned taking a very challenging curriculum at the same school.</p>
