<p>It depends on your frame of mind. If you like social science than go for it. If you prefer science, engineering and technology you probably wont like it. Many urban planning programs are AICP certified and the undergrad programs are not. Another factor is that the field of urban planning constitutes a huge variety of actual employment functions from community and economic developement, zoning, physical planning / urban design, environmental analysis, political science and policy making and transportation. I highly recommend tempering these majors with a basic science or mathmatical base such as economics, mathmatics, earth science, engineering or others.</p>
