Urban Schools with a campus?

im interested in going to a school thats in a city, but it seems like a majority of them have no campus at all. Can anyone think of and schools that are are in a city AND have a campus feel?

upenn, USC

UChicago and Columbia. Both are in cities, but in off-set neighborhoods that have more of a sense of community than those closer to the heart of things like DePaul and NYU. Both have fantastic, beautiful campuses; Chicago’s is Neo-Gothic, while Columbia’s is Neo-Classical. Both schools are pretty damn sexy :).

all those are good ideas but they are some of the best schools in the country…are there any schools that are easier to get in than UChicago, UPenn, or Columbia

American University has a nice campus and is in DC.

GATech has a nice urban campus, if you are interested in engineering or business.

University of San Francisco University of Pittsburgh

northeastern university in boston! it fits this description ideally

If you don’t mind attending large state school in the midwest, and perhaps paying OOS tuition like I did, then Ohio State might be it for you!! Go Bucks!! lol

DePaul actually does have a campus, rather than just a bunch of buildings like a lot of city schools. Also Loyola, if you’re interested in Chicago.
Also University of Washington… there are a lot, really. It depends what kind of school/ what cities you’re interested in!

Everyone is aware that UofChicago is within walking distance of one of the worst neighborhoods in Chicago right? Just like GT I think it is

Georgetown University is in DC (not downtown) and has a distinct campus. It is surrounded by one of the most expensive urban residential areas in the country.

Johns Hopkins is another urban university with a beautiful, distinct campus. A few blocks north is Loyola University MD.

Then there is Rice University, in Houston.

Among small colleges, the ones with urban settings include Barnard, Colorado College, Macalester, and Trinity (Hartford).

If you’re considering overseas, the UK has loads of universities with campuses located in the heart of a bustling city e.g. Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Imperial College, New Castle, LSE, UCL, King’s and a lot more.

Trinity University in San Antonio has a beautiful campus in a nice neighborhood, only 10 minutes from downtown.

Washington University in St. Louis

Reed in Portland, OR. University of Washington in Seattle has a great campus.

id prefer a school on the east coast or midwest

Widener University in Philadelphia

^^ Yeah, that would be urban. Urban Chester, PA, which I would avoid at all costs.

University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
