What are your opinions about urban schools compared to rural/suburban ones? What do you love/dislike about either?

I attend an urban university (Penn) and have spent some time at a suburban university (Maryland) and have friends at rural universities.

Pros of Urban:
right in a city
smaller campus, no need for car or buses
more things to do if campus gets boring or old
more restaurants and clubs to go to

Cons of Urban:
some urban schools lack campus life
some urban campuses blend into the city
(this is why I love Penn because it has all of the pros by minimizes the cons)

Pros of Rural/Suburban
better looking campus
no city to distract you

Cons:
can’t escape
need car/buses to get around

Suburban schools tend to have a good mix of the two because you can go into the city if you want, but it’s far away enough that there is a vibrant campus life. The thing about suburban schools is that you tend not to go into the city much because it’s too much of a hassle. It’s easier to stay at school. I’m 20 minutes from downtown Philly and only go about once every two weeks.
