Just a quick question on a final transcripts issue for admission to U of I. So, I have been a very good A and B honors students for the last 3 years. The problem is that Urbana-Champaign wants a final transcript.

I take four AP classes. Here are my first semester grades:
-AP Human Geo-C
-AP Biology-F (59%) (D first quarter F second)
-AP Lang & Comp-D (C first quarter) <- I write -very- well by the way. They've already acknowledged my writing skills from my application essays.
-AP Literature & Comp-D
-Other classes are just fine (A's and B's).

Let's just say this was not due to Senioritus in any way whatsoever; it pains me to use an "excuse", but I have a very good one. I do not plan to continue this trend. Do you think they'll revoke my admission based on this? I have another semester to balance this out.

“Do you think they’ll revoke my admission based on this?”

No, I don’t. Even if we were discussing ivy-league admissions, I would still be in doubt whether they would rescind your spot. For UIUC, you should be super fine.

Hmmm… very enlightening, but I gotta wait for other responses. Thank you!

If thats the way your final grades look that I think they would take
It away unless you have an amazing reason. You can prob get away with two or maybe even three C’s but not those d’s and that f.

The ivy leagues would def take away ur admission I know someone who got a D and Harvard took away his acceptance.

Either way, this university isn’t part of the ivy league. Harvard rejects so many perfectly competent students anyway. I had a friend who had a near perfect GPA, had a 35 on the ACT, was pretty athletic, and excelled in volunteer work. Unfortunately, he was rejected.

I guess I’ll just take the liberty of sending a letter explaining it before they ask what was up with the first semester. Thanks for the responses.
