Urbanstems for flowers?

Has anyone used this online service for flowers? What has been your experience with quality, freshness, duration of flowers looking good, and timeliness of delivery?

Anyone used their subscription service? Thoughts on that?

Oh phooey. Meant for this to be in the Parents Cafe - can a moderator please move it for me? Sorry!

I have not but I’ve sent and received flowers from Farmgirl Flowers. I follow her on Instagram and I have learned a lot about flower arranging.

I don’t know about Urbanstems but my DIL’s mother sent me flowers from Farmgirl and they were beautiful, fresh, and abundant.

Thanks!

I would stay away from Bouqs. We were impressed with them in the past, but have been very disappointed in several arrangements this past year. My husband complained about one bouquet he sent me and got nowhere with customer service. The flowers were damaged and they refused to do anything about it.

I decided to order from Urbanstems for my my mother-in-law’s birthday. It’s in a couple of weeks. I also ordered some flowers for myself which are arriving Tuesday. If I like them, I am considering trying a monthly subscription for myself. I haven’t spent any money on haircuts or facials for the last 10 months, and I think some fresh flowers once a month would be quite cheery. A splurge for sure!

Ordered from UrbanStems for my kids’ Un-iversary (when they were supposed to gt married but couldn’t because of Covid). They are supposed to be delivered this afternoon so I’ll let you know how it goes.

I just ordered tulips this week from Bouq and the recipient said they were very pretty. The picture she sent showed almost all red when the Bouq website showed a mixture of colors but I let it go. I received lilies from Bouq a year ago which were magnificent.

I was pleased with the flowers I ordered for myself from Urbanstems. I don’t think mil enjoyed having to snip the stems and put them in vases (I ordered her a double bouquet). I did not send a vase as sil assured me she had plenty. In the future for HER, I’ll just order an arrangement already done in a vase from a local florist. She’ll wind up with fewer flowers that way, but I think that she would prefer not to have “do” anything - even though there was very little to do, IMO.

If I order for myself again, I will order one of their vases. I only own one vase (we downsized several years ago), and it was too tall for the stem length from urban stems. The stems were much shorter than I expected.

My kids’ flowers were delivered within the window promised this afternoon and I received a confirmation email including pictures of where they left them. My DIL sent a picture of the flowers (I added a vase to the order) and they are beautiful and plentiful. My next criteria is how long they last, but from what I’ve seen thus far I’d order again. I placed the order on Thursday for delivery today - they were being delivered in NYC so I believe it was a hand delivery, not FedEx or something similar.
