Planning to take AP macro and micro economics as online classes. It is my senior year. I am only taking 4 classes in school (English, Gym, Math and either Marketing and Advertising or AP Statistics), so I have plenty of time to work on it. However, I don’t want to overload myself, so I think it would be best to take them in separate marking periods.

Just wondering, would it be smarter to take Micro or Macro first?

Quick background on my knowledge:
I took BOM (Business Organization Management) as a sophomore, and in the class, many business (corporation to sole proprietorship) terms were covered. i.e. supply and demand, inflation, etc…
I also enjoy math greatly. I just finished up Algebra 2 with an A/A+ and will be taking Trig/Advanced Math my senior year. I am overall very good with numbers.

Based on what I have read, it seems my background knowledge does relate more towards Micro, but I’m still not quite sure what to take. The fall semester course would run from 09/03/14 to 01/28/14, and the spring semester would run from the end of the fall until the AP exam. On a side note: once the fall course closes out on the 28th of January, I will NOT have access to any of the information, just what I have printed out.

Other question: Do colleges see the (half year) courses I am taking second semester? Meaning, do they see I am planning on taking them or do they only see them once I am already accepted. If they don’t see them, I can try to push myself to do both at once. Specifically looking at Rutgers so any info on that application specifically would be great.

PS: I only have until 11:59 to sign up in order for me to be able to start on time, hence the urgency.
