If you have studied AP courses through online courses (eg. UCCP, APEX, VIRTUAL SCHOOL) do you usually transfer the credit to your high school??? or would it be better to keep it unknown and let universities think you REALLY self-studied for it>????????????

halp!!!!!!!!1111111

i really doubt it makes a difference

what do you mean?

Colleges don't really care how you got the score you got. I mean, if you got a good score on the SAT, would you say, "I got this score because I took an online course and blah blah blah..." You wouldn't. It's the same thing with the AP's. It doesn't matter how you get the score you want -- just get it.

good point..

Ya...colleges don't really care if you self-studied or not, but as long as you met the required score for credit.

I'm doing online courses this upcoming year, and I'm definitely going to be getting credit from my high school. I'm doing it for the purpose of my GPA... I'm doing 2 or 3 so I definitely want to get compensated! :) But yeah, I don't think it'll matter, but it might be easier to just report it to your school and have the classes officially be on your transcript.

i dont see how it is fair to boost your GPA with online classes not affiliated with your high school.

I don't see how it isn't. It's just like transfering credits.

Exactly! The courses aren't exactly easy, they're AP level, and you're doing extra work.
