URGENT: AP Scores?

How do you send AP scores to your schools? Do you send them to the UCs before or after they admit you. Do you send them to the private schools?

Thanks

you don't actually send them to any colleges at all until after you are admitted and are going to attend their school.

Anyone else?

Sheed30 is right - you self-report them on the application. Some applications, including I think the UC one, have space specifically for APs; if not, you can put them in the Academic Honors section. You only need to send an official score report once you're accepted, to get credit/placement.

Thanks for the reply on the UC part.

For the private schools, such as the ones that follow Common App, am I supposed to send them the AP scores beforehand?

Never.

You always self report AP scores until you are admitted and the time comes to claim credits. but do not lie!!

Thanks!

I just need one more response....

why? its the same as everyone else said. they go in the awards section of the common app.

why do you need so much conformation?
three of us now have taken the time to answer your question, and it seems a little rude to me.

Sorry guys, I thought it was similar to sending in transcripts (as in UCs want it after acceptance while Privates want it before). I wrongly assumed that the first two posters were responding to my UC question, that's why I asked for verification of the Private college.

For last time verification, BOTH the UCs and Private colleges want the AP scores AFTER acceptance?

Thank you all.

no, here is one more response for you.:)

yes to your last question. Only the transcript is different. Do you know why?
For the Common Application, you don't fill out any information about your grades, while you do for the UC.
