Urgent, babe in need of help: European history dbq grouping

Hello all. I'm not a babe, but I am in need of urgent help; babe was just to get your attention...

How do you do the grouping for DBQs in euro!?!
I try to base it off the thesis... but it doesn't always work (doesn't really work in audit exam).

"analyze the effects of the experience of war on British soldiers and Brish society in WWI and WWII"

Logically, I set up 2 "main groups" : effect on soldiers, effect on society.

Because I need 3 groupings, I usually branch off from the main ones. I don't speak from experience; my teacher did not give us instruction or feedback on how to do DBQs.

After 20 minutes of thinking, I came up with groups:
effect on soldiers - suffering, blaming government,
effect on society - nationalism/unity,

This took too long and barely worked. I had to fit things. It seems that CB does not give documents that are "meant" to be made into groups.... so how are we supposed to make groupings for the prompt?!?!? I looked at the guidelines... CB suggested organizing the documents by author, and chronological. ***?!?! Am I supposed to write an essay with groups arranged by the author/time? How would that effectively answer the prompt? Am I even supposed to have organized paragraphs?? This is mindblowing. I need your help... how do you organize the documents..

If you find yourself with only one grouping, try to divide that grouping based on the details that the documents give you.

RAlec, I have no idea what you’re talking about. But damn, that heading, super eye-catching

lol, I’ll admit you got my attention, haha. I took AP Euro two years ago and I really didn’t have much trouble trying to group the documents. You just have to find a common theme, and you can be totally general about it. As long as they are related in some way, you can probably stretch them to fit a single topic.

you aren’t doing it right.
you need FOUR groups to get maximum points
group based on thesis
so two types of effects on soldiers and two types of effects on society
each group is one paragraph
this way, while making a longer DBQ, will allow you to score higher

you only need 3 explicit groups.
check on the rubric
you DO need 4 POV if you want some points in expanded core.

to above poster, four groups are for the expanded core.

indeed
that is why i said that you need four groups to get the “maximum points”
the only reliable way to get a 9 is to use 4 groups 4 pov and so on…
you can’t rely on them deciding that you use your arguments “persuasively”
the subjective ones are real toss ups
