Urgent call for help! Help me!

I have a little problem on my hands. The first ACT I took I got a 31 with 33 on english, 27 on math, 30 on science, 34 on the reading and 8 on the essay. Now when I retook it in december I got a 35 on the english, 30 on the math, 26 on the science , 34 on the reading and 11 on the essay (out of 12.) Now either of these scores make my math and science look weak. What should I do? Which one should I report?

I'm applying to all the ivies.

bump…

whichever one is the highest composite. im definitely saying the 2nd one.

dude both are the same thing except for the writing and doesn’t the 26 on the science mess my cred up?

A higher math is more important than science IMO.

thanks, should I report both scores so that they can see that I’m not bad at either?

If you have the money you definitely could, because they would choose whichever one They think is higher :D

hahaha, thanks.

You’re applying to all the Ivies?

yea, why? Is that bad?

Well it’s kind of silly. You would clearly only want to go because of the prestige. If that’s all you’re looking for in a college, you risk being unhappy for the next four years of your life. But go ahead with it if you want to.

…Ditto.

heh thanks guys, no harm trying?
Any other suggestions?

^haha..I second rockermcr…it just seems u r desperate of getting into a college with a “name”…it’d led anyone think that since not all the Ivies has the same strength in whatever major you are intending.

Exactly. MIT’s reputation is far greater than that of almost any Ivy when it comes to the sciences. JHU has an equal if not greater reputation than most Ivies for its med and pre-med programs. Look outside the box.

MIT for math too! Plz apply to the place where you think you’ll have the best opportunity to expand academically and socially..it doesn’t have to be the “best” place (in general term)..nobody would care in long term (well, even in short term!)

I would rather go to Harvard for math. or Princeton…i dont really see anything wrong with applying to all the ivys/

Ivies… Third grade has escaped many CCers.

IVYS…and third grade definitely escaped me. But that’s the grade i “turned” smart :D

I was almost put into special ed in grade 2.
