I have a little problem on my hands. The first ACT I took I got a 31 with 33 on english, 27 on math, 30 on science, 34 on the reading and 8 on the essay. Now when I retook it in december I got a 35 on the english, 30 on the math, 26 on the science , 34 on the reading and 11 on the essay (out of 12.) Now either of these scores make my math and science look weak. What should I do? Which one should I report?

Well it’s kind of silly. You would clearly only want to go because of the prestige. If that’s all you’re looking for in a college, you risk being unhappy for the next four years of your life. But go ahead with it if you want to.

^haha..I second rockermcr…it just seems u r desperate of getting into a college with a “name”…it’d led anyone think that since not all the Ivies has the same strength in whatever major you are intending.

Exactly. MIT’s reputation is far greater than that of almost any Ivy when it comes to the sciences. JHU has an equal if not greater reputation than most Ivies for its med and pre-med programs. Look outside the box.

MIT for math too! Plz apply to the place where you think you’ll have the best opportunity to expand academically and socially..it doesn’t have to be the “best” place (in general term)..nobody would care in long term (well, even in short term!)
