Urgent CalSo Question!

I'm going to Calso tomorrow, and I have gotten three of my classes figured out: Calc 1a, physics 7a, and Rhetoric. However, I haven't chosen a fourth yet because I was unable to find one that interests me. I think I will take a DeCal class, but the list doesn't come out until july. Do i HAVE to have all my classes figured out by the time I go there?

Thanks

No.

You can only register for up to 10.5 units in phase 1 anyway.

Gabe I think you are qualified enough to serve as a CalSo counseler.

Yeah, you can only sign up for 10.5 units and even then you can always make modifications anytime during telebears open hours at home throughout the summer!

Which Rhetoric class are you planning on taking?

Don't worry; a lot of people in my CalSO group didn't even do the orienteering beforehand. They give you enough information to be able to choose classes.

if I got a 5 on the calc bc exam do i have to take any math for haas?

No, but don't you want an easy A to pad the GPA.

I am taking rhetoric R1A TuTh 9:30-11 A. Hopefully. Also, I was planning to take Physics 7A and Calc 1A at the beggining of the semester. Both are kind of review, I've done beginning calc and physics before (though I know UC classes are harder). But do you think this is a good idea, with lectures, labs, and discussions? It seems almost too much.

Thanks for the help

R1A is basically waht every freshman who hasn't passed out takes. You could take both Physics 7A & Calc 1A and then take a 1-unit seminar or DECAL to meet the unit minimum of 13. Then you only have 3 real classes of work.

Are you allowed to take Physics 7A without taking Math 1B?
