geek_mom and commonappguy, quick question. When my son uploaded his common app essay an exclamation point appeared between paragraphs on the print preview. Even when he re-uploaded it happened again. He had to submit but he is worried that it looks unprofessional. It was not on his original or .pdf version. Should he contact the admissions office or is that something the colleges may not see on their version? HELP!!

Very helpful and many thanks…just wondering, what your knowledge base is, how you know this

so for stanford, 12:01 the next day means late? means no consideration? was actually sent at 1220 but eastern time and woudl then be on time ca but said 1/2/2011…does stanf consider that on time? THANKS

I have a question about the SAT subject tests. Should I let the school that I’m applying to know that I’m taking them or should I just have the scores sent in after I take them? The school does accept the tests taken this month… I just don’t have it down anywhere on my application that I’m taking them. There was a question on the common app where I could have put that, but when I filled out the app I didn’t know I would have to take the tests. So, once again, do I let the school know or leave it be? Thanks for helping :0)

Hello!

I applied to the University of Texas right out of high school, but did not get my transcripts sent in in time, therefore I did not get accepted. However, I was wondering if it is alright to resubmit the same essay in my new application, or would the admissions office frown upon that kind of thing?

Thanks!
