<p>On the common app website it says:</p>

<p>"Those colleges highlighted in GRAY REQUIRE that BOTH your application AND your supplement be submitted from the same registration account before your application will be processed. Therefore, you must submit BOTH the application and supplement before you can be considered an applicant! Additionally, if you submit your application electronically to these colleges, you MUST submit your supplement electronically as well (it cannot be printed and mailed)."</p>

<p>Does this mean I don't have to send the supplementals by the deadline for the schools that aren't highlit in gray?</p>

<p>No, the supplements are due by the deadline indicated. For example, ABC College has a 1/1 deadline, but the application and the supplement can be sent at different times. You can submit the common application on 12/15 and the supplement on 1/1 (both will be in by the deadline). </p>

<p>If a college is highlighted in gray, then the Common Application will not submit the application until the supplement is completed.</p>
