Urgent, desperate transfer advice for Brown!

Hi everyone!

I am a UK student, with very limited knowledge of US university systems.
I applied to several schools this year, of which my absolute favourite is Brown.
However, after getting rejected from Georgetown, I figured that my odds of getting in are close to none. I haven’t gotten rejected per-se yet, but I think I’m fairly sure of what the letter is going to say.

I have thus been looking for transfer options, since I am definitely sure that Brown is the place for me. Besides, their acceptance rate for transfer students is not completely demolishing so I would never forgive myself if I didn’t give it a solid try.
These are my stats:

ACADEMICS
Predicted A Level Results at AAABB ( Most UK students take only three subjects, I am taking five.)
SAT score: 1420 (New SAT I think.)
TOEFL score: 113 out of 120.
Mind you, I am a native spanish speaker so it is likely that I will be asked for TOEFL scores.
Academic prize for Computer Science in 2014

EXTRA CURRICULAR (Only my most important ones.)
International Prefect for my school.
Sacred Heart representative.
Fencing Team member.

I know I am not the most academic student, but I have a bunch of extracurriculars to pad my resumé. My question is, if I want to transfer to Brown, what University should I attend next year?
I have gotten accepted into several from my list, and the ones I would consider going to would be:
— Trinity College.
— Syracuse University (I got a scholarship for that one.)
— Fordham University.

I have yet to hear from some of the bigger ones, but my rejection from Gtown has lowered my expectations tremendously. These are my US options. HOWEVER, I also got an offer from the University of Edinburgh, in the UK, and it is by far the most prestigious out of my whole bunch.

So my question is: would it be easier for me to transfer from a less prestigious US school, or Edinburgh, which has a way better reputation?

Asking for a friend!!

– Forgot to mention:
Accepted into Yale Young Global Scholars 2016 for technology and innovation. Super great summer program, very selective, had tons of fun.

Asking for friends is not allowed on Cc. And fwiw, the transfer acceptance rate IS completely demolishing.

Thanks Linda! @Lindagaf

MODERATOR’S NOTE:
As mentioned above, for privacy reasons, asking for a friend is not allowed. If your friend wants to ask a question, he needs to do so himself.

As difficult as admissions to a top U.S. university is for anybody, particularly an international student, transfer admissions is just that much more difficult. Most top colleges only have a handful of transfer spots.
