I need to know this ASAP because I might be buying property in Michigan!
The interim director for the LSA sent me an email with language that made me unsure as to whether I was being offered a guaranteed transfer or not. It said they would be" happy to accept [me] as a sophomore transfer" but that they asked that I keep above a 3.0 in transferable courses at the university I was accepted into, and that I let them know before Feb 1st so that they could process the paperwork as they updated my information. I was wondering–do they mean they will accept my transfer application for consideration, or will they absolutely accept me so long as I followed their requirements? They didn’t say that they would accept my application, or accept me for consideration, but that they would accept me as a transfer-- so I’m forced to wonder
I couldn’t find anything on their website confirming or denying that they offer guaranteed transfers, let alone HOW they offer them. I’m also more than a little embarrassed because I told a lot of my friends about this being a guaranteed transfer before I realized that there could be another meaning to the correspondence I received. Would it look bad if I asked the university?
