*** Urgent *** Ed Stern Acceptees

Ok, so are there any ED - I stress this ED- accepted students at STERN who actually were accepted at the STERN SCHOLAR PROGRAM. I haven't heard about any thus far and the decisions were supposed to have been received by the acceptees.
Please, ED Stern Students, don't forget to respond! thanks in a advance! <3

hey i have this question as well. if someone applied ED, is it even possible to get into Scholars since they already have you binded there and no longer need to entice you?

I'm assuming it's possible, but I bet it's much less likely. I'm sorry that I did ED for that reason. It's good to post though so people know in the future. What percentage of Stern and Tisch students are ED and what percentage of scholars are ED would be a start. I understand that people would say that ED candidates tend to have lower stats - but I didn't.

bump it up

i posted the same question on the nyu 2011 conference...and i truly believe that no ed sternies got stern scholars which is horrible on their part.

It really is. I know that my numbers were higher than a lot of scholars. As things turned out my recs were fantastic (best of my career, fantastic) and all the things I had pursued as a matter of interest came together as great ECs (national recognition, leadership positions in school). One of my friends, very similar applicant to me except I'm male (which should be a boost for me) and she was RD (which seems to be a boost for her) was offered Presidential Scholar at CAS AND $25,000 a year AND she turned it down for Penn. I do feel that it's not right, but I guess they already had us and they use the scholar designation as a lure for the RD applicants.

I did get a very small merit scholarship. Very small.(I did not apply for financial aid and indicated that I would not on my early app) I'd rather be a scholar for sure.

Get a life and stop whining.

Hey hsseniorlooking I'm just trying to give next year's superior applicants some information that I would have liked to have had. Isn't that one of the points of this site? Although, I will admit being told to get a life by someone with 12 PAGES of posts on college confidential is disconcerting!
