Soooo i just checked MyWellesley to check my application status and it says
'Please ask your counselor to send us your first quarter grades or progress reports by January 15.'

WHAT.
I didn't know this.
and January 15 is today... only 2 hours left...

I have first trimester report card and it has the grades and teachers' comments on it.
Should I fax that to Wellesley? I think the report card isn't 'official' but should i still just do it since it's due today?

Or should i not send anything in and ask the guidance counselor to do it on next tuesday?

I’m certain Wellesley won’t reject you simply because you didn’t hand in the grades on time. I know for financial aid Wellesley gives applicants leeway (they even sent an e-mail about it), so I think that applies to this too. However if you’re really nervous, maybe send the the report card yourself and just have your guidance counselor send the official one on Tuesday?

so even if they have my transcript, which i think probably includes first trimester grades, i should fax the report card to them? with the teacher’s comments on it?

I called and asked, they say it’s not very important, and to just fax what I have since they are only looking at it at a glance. Or that’s what the person on the phone said.

Don’t send your report card in with teacher comments on it. My friend applied EE and she didn’t know she had to send in her quarter grades by 1/1. She called the office and they told her that her counselor could just fax in her official quarter grades the first day she got back from break, which was the 3rd or 4th or something haha.

So don’t fax them your report card; completely unnecessary. Just call the admissions office at school tomorrow and let them know you’re counselor is going to fax over your trimester grades. It’s not the most crucial part of your app so don’t worry! You’ll be okay :)

Ligers is right. You can contact the admissions office by phone or e-mail letting them know your counselor will be sending in your grades.

The only reason you might WANT to fax in your report card with teacher comments is if the comments are really, really good, because it would be an indirect way of adding more positive weight to your file.
