(URGENT) Filling summer course in the Common App - Yes or No?

Hello everyone!

Last summer I took a course at Penn. Now I’m applying to Cornell. Should I fill it in the College&University section of the CommonApp? I worry that the Cornell Officers would go like “Hey, this kid went to summer camp of our adversary college but not us!”

fill it in if you got college credit/

admissions officers don’t think like that.

Yeah, I did get college credits. So is it absolutely necessary to submit the transcript? It would take hell lot of time to get to the destination and it might even get lost.

You should submit the transcript.

But I only got an A minus, which is below my usual GPA at high school…

lol… some people study at Yale and then do graduate studies at Harvard. Like @bomerr said, admissions officers don’t think like that. It can only help you to put it on.

If you have attend college then colleges can lookup your name and schools of attendance in the nation clearinghouse database.

Academic Integrity is one of the most important factors to admissions officers and if they think you are trying to hide a course it could impact your chances of admission greatly.

“Indicate the number of other colleges or universities where you have taken a course at any time since the 9th grade”

In short put the school on your common app and send the transcript.

Okay. Thanks

Was it SAAST?

@ka7Scope‌ Yeah. Why?

Yeah I took a course at Northeastern over the summer and I put it on the CA. It’s also good because it shows that you were motivated enough to even do schoolwork over the summer.

I went there too… I was in comp sci. How about you?

@ka7Scope‌ Nano. Apparently it didn’t help me get into Penn

Too true…if only we’d had legacy
