this is kind of effed up.. i am a Canadian applicant to Yale college. the CSS profile is due today.. however, i have also applied to cornell, which had an earlier due date for CSS profile... the problem is, cornell told me to use 0.76 USD for 1 CDN dollar.. HOWEVER, yale told me to use 0.65 USD for 1 CDN dollar... and since i have submitted my cornell one on feb 20th and i cannot change the profile after i've submitted it, what should i do?

thx

Hmm, the exchange is about .80 right now! .65 is from a couple of years ago. When you did the CSS the first time, did you list both school? If so, then send a note telling them what exchange rate you used. I think either way you should let them know what exhange rate you sued and let them determine it from there. I am surprised they are still using .65, I only wish it was .65!

Both schools will probably also want your tax return, and will refigure the contribution based on actual data anyway, so I wouldn't get too worried.

Certainly, letting them know is a great idea, but I wouldn't be too concerned. We make all kinds of corrections to Profile data all the time...
