hi. I am applying for engineering major.
I have been taking challenging mathematics courses and I showed great results from all of them. Currently I am in AP calculus.
This December, I hurriedly took math 2 for my sat 2, and i ended up with 610.
I utterly failed in time management and ended up skipping half the test.
Obviously this is a really bad score considering that I am an AP cal student and I am applying to top engineering schools like berk, northwestern, vanderbilt, and etc.
Will this significantly affect my application as a whole? I mean, sat 2's are not required anymore and I heard that they are just plus's.
Should I retake this exam?? Deadline is today and I dont know what to do!!!

I think a 610 isn’t a BAD score. It may not be excellent, but it wouldn’t hurt you to send it in, especially because SAT 2s aren’t required.

Definitely retake if you feel you will do significantly better this time.

Well at least they’re not required. Had you applied to a school where they were required, you would have been in big trouble. Retake if necessary, and always work hard and aim for the 800

thanks guys for your answers… i decided to retake it.
I mean I cant be doing worse than 610. or can i??
