I looked at my payment today, my Entering UG Scholarship change from $950 to $297! Why dose the amount changed?

How many units are you currently enrolled in? If you changed your units from full time(12), to less than full time, you’re financial aid will be reduced. BTW, they don’t count waitlist hours.

I have 15 units

Check to see if the total for Financial Aid changed also, it may not have.

Definitely call or go to the office. Though I think the lines have some problems; I woke up and called at 10am (right on the dot) and they gave me the the same crap message (all lines are busy right now, UCD 1). -_- Recheck sisweb to make sure your account totals are correct and go to the financial aid office as soon as you can. Their phoneline sucks major butt. Also remember to note that they take out money if you don’t waive the USHIP insurance, so maybe that contributed to a small drop? Did you financial status change drastically? Maybe you were enrolled in less than 12 units a few days ago and only got into your waitlisted class only recently. I managed to increase my aid by getting a solid 12 units+ two days ago and my account only reflected that change now.

to Ilovecollege: Does that include waitlist hours though, because they don’t count that. If you recently dropped below 12, that’s the only reason I could see for the sudden financial aid change. This actually happened to me about a quarter ago (the reduced financial aid), but after I got back to 12 units and over, they disbursed the rest of my financial aid to my checking account about a week or 2 after class started.

Anyway, if you did recently drop below 12 and just went back up to 15, it might take a few days to get it updated again. If it doesn’t by the time school starts, I recommend going to the office asap and tell them about the issue.
