I rushed out my application package on November 2 (GMT + 8:00 in China, so it’s still November 1 in America) for my Brown ED. All the other applicants in my school who applied to Brown have received their Brown ID by this time and one of them has got an email informing about the telephone interview, but I have got no emails, no information about my Brown ID. (I checked the junk mails in my hotmail&paid for the application on Nov.1).

Is there anyone out there with similiar situations? Should I contact the admission office right away???Please help!

p.s. All the other applicants applied via internet, I’m the only one applied via paper. Is this gonna make a difference?

I submitted my application on October 30th through the internet, and I didn’t get my login information until Monday. Someone in the Brown University forum called the admissions office, and I guess they’re swamped with applications to process.

If it’ll help ease your mind, just call yourself. They’ll very likely tell you that they’re still processing and that you should receive your login information within a week, but calling might help calm your mind.

Good luck! Hopefully I’ll see you there next year!

I would suggest you call the admissions office tomorrow. It’s quite possible they haven’t gotten your paper application, even though it’s dated by their deadline. You can’t really compare yourself to your peers, since applying by the Internet is significantly faster than paper delivery.

Please know, however, that the admissions office has been inundated by all the paperwork and delayed in sending out the confirmations. Many American students are just receiving their IDs now. Relax.

I mailed my application package via UPS and tracked it on the internet: it arrived on Nov 2nd… … However, thanks for all the people who replied! I feel a lot more at ease right now…
