I have a question regarding standardized tests (which one to send, basically) and I need it answered as soon as possible. It is a very complicated situation, and if a knowledgeable parent is willing to help me, please PM me.

I asked the question in the college admissions board and it went unanswered, regardless of my numerous bumps. It's a very very urgent question and I need it answered :<

You yourself do not send ANY scores. You would cause your scores to be sent by contacting the testing agency......your school might also include scores on the transcript, I have heard of instances where there is a duplication. I don't really understand what you need help with.....could you be more specific???

I did not want to go into further detail on the post because I (personally) did not wish to disclose the information. Hazmat, I will be PMing you shortly.

If you took SATs (including both SAT and SAT-IIs), the CB will send the scores of ALL the tests you took since 9th grade.
If you took ACT multiple times, you have a choice of which to have sent (not you sending the scores).
If you took ACT, SAT and SAT-II, and wish your ACT scores to be considered in lieu of SAT, you list your ACT and SAT-II scores on your app and ask all scores to be sent. The colleges will see your SAT scores since they will be listed along with the SAT-II scores on the official record sent by CB, but they will consider only your best scores, i.e. your ACT scores and your top 2 or 3 SAT-II scores.
If you took APs, you need only list your scores on your app. The college will not ask for the official scores until the summer.

One can lie about many different parts of the application. The reason official AP scores are not required at the time of application is that APs are not supposed to be a major criterion for admission, since many schools do not offer AP courses. Additionally, most students who have taken APs before senior year will be taking AP classes as seniors, and these scores are not availeble until July. So colleges expect official AP scores to be sent in July, for purposes of determining Advanced Standing if applicable and course placement. Ellemenope is correct.
