Alright, so for a school I want to apply to (Pepperdine), a requirement for applying is a recommendation from a peer/coach/tutor/etc. as well as your counselor. Early on, I asked someone to write me one, but they're unable to upload it (It shows up as a blank screen where it's supposed to show where people have invited you). My counselor emailed Common App, and he told me that they weren't much help. I've also emailed Pepperdine, and they haven't gotten back to me yet because of Winter Break.

I would ask the my Reccommender to send in her recc. by mail, but I can't submit my application on Common App without it. It won't let me.

Does anyone know what I should do? Or the exact process of submitting an recommendation from an "outside source"? Thanks.

Agree with niceday. Provide a preaddressed stamped envelope for your recommender to send directly to Pepperdine with the printable pdf form. DD also emailed the form to her recommenders. Colleges will accept the paper version. DD applied early in October and had all her recommendations mailed. She is all done and got into her 1st choice ED school. Good Luck to you.

Just for sure…did you “assign” the rec (in school’s assigning recmdrs part) to that person?
Such situation happened on me once until I noticed that I forgot to assign him the “job”. lol
