yep different address

Hello - not quite true. It depends on the schools. Each college/university has its own rules concerning this question.
mrtambourineman - usually you can find that sort of information in the application rules or on the web-site. If you cannot find it - just contact them.
(from my experience: i applied to 20 schools last year and I sent the finaid documents separately only to app. 4-5 schools)

manyzhka were you an international applicant ??
what financial forms did you send ???????

is it neccessary to provide a bank statament ?????????????

yes, i was an international applicant

as of the last year, i sent the Certificate of Finances and the International Student Financial Aid application (actually, some schools might use their own forms instead of these two standardized ones - be careful with that)

yes, bank statement and something about your parents (tax returns or employer statement) are neccessary

I realized that I made the mistake of misplacing my financial aid documents, inserting them in the package that was meant for the admissions office, not financial aid one. Do you think it might affect me in some way? I wrote an e-mail to the colleges, explaining the situation, by the way.

I don't think it'll pose a problem

And the college required to send them separately?
Even if it did, I doubt it would be a big problem, though you should absolutely make sure by e-mail that they got them and forwarded them to the finaid.

I hope you are right! I did e-mail the admissions officers, as I think they should be aware of this irregularity.

Now, something completely off-topic. Manyzhka, do you have the time to read 2 essays of mine? It's just that my teachers are on vacation now, and I have no one else to turn to.

Yes, sure. Send them:)

OK to clear things up:

Certificate of Finances goes to Admission Office

Financial Aid forms and documents goes, separately, to the financial services office

The above is standard procedure at most schools.

Thanks, manyzhka :) I sent them as private messages.

Most schools require the Certifiate of Finances only if you accept the offer of admission, right

mercurysquad - i do not agree
as i already posted, from my experience - most schools required sending the Financial Aid application to the admission office. And guess why! Because for many schools it is the same office!!
You send the Certificate of Finances with your application. (as of last year)
