URGENT: How do I calculate credit hours?

BU application is asking me for this. I took a class at Wesleyan University three days a week for an hour each class from September to December.

so add up the weeks that you were in class for. Just look on a calendar and go ahead. 3 hrs each week x insert number of weeks

HA! If only.

You can look it up in the course catalog from the university. Assuming that this university follows tradition, your course should be 3 credit hours.

(Jcancollegebound: 3x14=42 That’s almost half of a degree!)

aigiqinf: looking it up in the course catalog wont work. wesleyan uses a system where a full class is “one credit” and phys ed and labs are .25 or .5 credits. wesleyan, for conversion purposes, counts each class as 4 credit hours per week…

so i take a chem class at WU for about 15 weeks, 3 classes per week, and an hour per class that would be 60 credit hours?

You’re kidding me. Shouldn’t it be reported to BU under their system?

“1.00 Wesleyan credit is equivalent to 4.00 semester or 6.00 quarter hours.”
