hi i'm applying to wellesley this year and i was only just aware of the requirement that international students have to submit the international student commonapp supplement :(

i can get my counsellor to send it by monday, should i contact the office of admissions right now to explain the situation to them? how much would this jeopardize the reading of my application?

furthermore, is the international student certificate of finances required if i'm not applying for financial aid?

any help would be much appreciated... i'm in major panic mode right now :( i can't believe i was this stupid

Definitely write them an e-mail, and then follow it up with a phone call to explain the situation and ask what to do. And as for the financial statement, you’d better ask them that question, too.

thank you! does anyone have any advice for how best to present this? i’m not usually one to make oversights like this…

would it look like im trying to make excuses if i mention my counsellor didn’t mention it to me? gah… i had no idea that international students had this separate section :(

The word “miscommunication” covers all kinds of mistakes people make. This is neither the most damning nor the weirdest mistake anyone has made applying to Wellesley. Just tell them that you and your counselor didn’t quite connect on what was required and when, and now you’re having to scramble. Good luck.
