<p>Hey i just got an ipod, but i can't download songs for it! I've searched the web for downloading songs from limewire, and i've followed all their directions but it doesn't work. I'm probably saving the files the wrong way after downloading them or something but it's been impossible. I'm getting desperate and was wondering if u guys could help me out on this problem of mine.</p>
<p>I don't use an ipod, but I believe you have to use iTunes to put files on an ipod.</p>
<p>the only way to transfer them onto ur ipod is to put them on itunes first.</p>
<p>Go to Options in limewire and make sure your files get sent to some file of your choice (eg, my music).</p>
<p>THen, after downloading, open Itunes, then drag your music file, into your Itunes ipod playlist.
Tada.</p>
<p>I have a video ipod and I mostly use iTunes. I also use Limewire when I can't find a song on itunes. Make sure both itunes and limewire are open and you can click the songs in limewire and drag them into itunes.</p>
<p>To the best of my knowledge, you can use Winamp with the iPod. At least you could a few months ago...</p>
<p>jonathan1, i can't seem to just drag the individual songs to itunes. is there something else i need to do? i had em both open, enqued the songs and tried dragging the songs to itunes. For some reason it won't let me drag. Thanks for the help tho.</p>

<p>Try importing the files from within iTunes. "Import" should be under "File."</p>
