I'm want to apply to Cornell and UPenn because after research, I really love both of them, even though they are worlds apart. I like UPenn more because of the urban setting, but I like Cornell's academic liberty. Should I bother applying? Do I have a chance of getting in?

you have a much better chance at cornell than upenn but good chances at both since you have a high gpa and test scores. Also your extracurricular’s are great since you have many leadership positions. All you can do now is focus on your essays. Good luck! Chance me back?

Thanks! And yes.

Do I have a feasible chance at Duke? Sorry for additional question. Oh, and for consistency and incentive, I will chance anyone who chances me.

i think you have a fantastic shot at Duke, Cornell, and Penn. If you like Cornell’s academic liberty, would you be interested in Brown as well? It has an open curriculum and it’s more urban.

Duke, Cornell and Penn are definitely matches for you. Anything higher would be somewhat of a reach, but still not impossible!
Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1261927-chance-desperate-junior.html

Kylebelieves- thank you for your response. Coming from a small, suburban town, some outside perspective is needed. I appreciate yours. And yes, I do like Brown! I applied already and I really hope I get accepted.
Daysofadork- thanks and I chanced you!

I think you have a very good chance at Cornell and UPenn. Are you male/female and what ethnicity?

I hope to see you at cornell next fall ! :)

I’m am the stereotypical Indian female.

And yes!

No chance sorry. Should have cured cancer

If you’re applying to the College of Engineering at Cornell, then you have even a much better chance. CoE gives significantly more preference to females than to males, even if you’re indian.

Hahaha Doener. That’s literally what I feel like the criteria has become to get into these top caliber schools. And cortana, thank you! I’m not sure if I want to do engineering, maybe biomed, if anything. But thank you for the insight!

Penn: Reach
Cornell: Decent chances

Good luck to you!

I would just like to say I was rejected from UCinci’s dual admissions program without an interview. I deduce that if I didn’t get into that program, I have no viable chances of getting into Cornell or Penn.
But thanks for your help, guys. Unfortunately, my credentials are not good enough for top tier schools or programs.

honestly you have a great chance!

Good luck!!

Thanks liinnluvve! I’m really learning a lot about myself and the admissions process through interviews and such. I guess you just can’t really gauge your chances because everything is subjective. But thanks everyone!

I just looked at UCin’s stats and stuff and I have no idea why you would not be accepted, even to the dual admission thing. Your scores and everything are much higher than the required. Maybe you messed up something bad in an essay or the school didn’t receive everything. Don’t completely give up hope for other schools.

My essays were impressive, according to myself and my teachers and reviewers. But maybe others’ were better. But I was surprised I didn’t even get an interview. But life happens. Meh.
